At all times

  • Be respectful and supportive of all members of the school community

  • Have all your equipment for the day
  • Move around school in a calm, quiet, orderly manner

Expectations in the Classroom

  • Be punctual
  • Enter the classroom in a calm, orderly way
  • Treat others as you would want to be treated
  • Behave appropriately
    1. Don’t shout out during the lesson
    2. Respect equipment, each other’s and school’s
    3. Listen carefully and follow instructions
    4. Don’t answer back or disrupt the learning!
  • Complete tasks and homework set to the best of your ability – have pride in your work!

Expectations in the Dining Room and Hall

  • Queue in an orderly manner and don’t keep places for friends
  • Buy all your food in one go
  • Sit down to eat
  • Only eat in the designated places
  • Use correct table manners e.g. use a knife and fork to eat traditional food
  • Do not talk with food in your mouth
  • Use the bins provided

Expectations for movement around school

  • Go straight to the lesson, do NOT stop to chat with friends
  • Keep to the left on stairs and corridors
  • Keep in single file on the stairs and walk

Expectations when travelling to/from school

(These expectations apply whether travelling on foot, by bicycle or by bus)

  • Wear the correct uniform and wear it properly
  • Respect the community – be polite – be sensible
  • Walk on the pavements and don’t interfere with other people’s property
  • Do NOT obstruct traffic by walking/cycling in the middle of the road
  • Do NOT cycle on the pavement
