In the first year of great reform to GCSE examinations in English and Maths Southlands High School has made significant improvements and is the fastest improving school in Chorley.

Southlands High School has also been recognised as the 7th most improved school across Lancashire’s 84 schools.

49 % achieved 9 – 4 (equivalent to A* - C) in English and Maths

66% achieved 9 – 4 as their ‘Best’ English grade

56% achieved 9-4 in Mathematics

94% achieved 9 – 4 in Triple Science.

19/25 subjects improved their attainment scores from the previous year.
